Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) jointly with the National Police conducted around 50 raids in six regions of the country in office abuse cases at public joint-stock company Ukrzaliznytsia related to embezzlements on an especially large scale and collusion aiming to receive corrupted money, Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan has said.

"Citizens Dubnevych, Mykhalchuk, Kostiuk and others are suspected [of committing a crime]. The conclusion is that there is corruption at the top level! I am again right! No political protection… Now it is important that this was not made a new series of Discovery Channel: caught, took a photo and released!" he wrote on his Facebook page.

The minister said that law enforcers say that they are going all the way and would not make any compromises.

PGO Prosecutors together with the officers of the main directorate for counter-intelligence protection of the state's interests in the sphere of economic security of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), in connection with the investigation in the criminal proceedings on the embezzlement of money of Ukrzaliznytsia and its structural divisions, raided the administrative premises of the regional branches of company on November 14, 2017.
