State Border Service constantly records provocations by Russian Armed Forces - official
The State Border Service of Ukraine constantly records provocative actions on the part of the Russian Armed Forces along the entire perimeter of the Ukrainian-Russian border, Head of the Eastern Regional Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine Serhiy Bidylo has said.
"At present the units of the Russian Armed Forces constantly commit provocative actions. I'm talking not only about the state border in Kharkiv region, but also the entire perimeter of the Ukrainian-Russian border. These are 1,578 kilometers. One or two APCs and from five to ten servicemen permanently approach the state border and checkpoints and carry out certain actions," he said in Kharkiv on Wednesday, November 1, at a visiting session of the parliamentary committee on legislative support for law enforcement activity.
Bidylo said that the 20th Guards Army was deployed in full force in Voronezh in September 2017.
"Its units and formations are in the immediate vicinity. They are deployed 15-20 kilometers from the state border... Full-scale and combat efficient units (both mechanized and tank units) were deployed... Throughout 2017, we constantly record the deployment of radio engineering and reconnaissance systems near the state border," he said.
