Activists start blocking Roshen enterprises in Vinnytsia and Yahotyn

Activists have started blocking the enterprises of the Roshen Corporation, owned by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, in Vinnytsia and Yahotyn (Kyiv region), thus protesting against blocking the implementation of anti-corruption initiatives, MP Yehor Sobolev has said.

"The veterans of the war for independence, which are major figures in a rally of pressure, have united into the liberation movement. Since Petro Poroshenko ignored the demands of the protesters, the veterans of the war for independence started blocking his earnings," a statement on the 24 Channel website quoted the MP as saying late on Saturday, October 28.

Sobolev wrote on his Facebook page that "with the support of local residents, the road to the logistics center of the Roshen company in Yahotyn, Kyiv region, was blocked, and the blocking of the eponymous plant started, with no weapons, destruction, calmly and orderly."

The MP said that blocking the president's business would influence his decisions regarding the demands put forward earlier by the participants of a rally outside the Verkhovna Rada.
