Lutsenko promises to issue charge against those responsible for protests in Kyiv

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko has said the Prosecutor General's Office has information about financing of protests in Kyiv and promises to produce evidence and appropriate suspicions.

"We also have other information on financing the protests. I will present this evidence in due time and present the relevant suspicions to the relevant figures," the prosecutor general told reporters in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Later, answering the question about whether he had data that oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky could be involved in financing the protests near the Verkhovna Rada, Lutsenko said: "With whom is the financing connected? The investigation already has information, and in due time I, with the permission of the investigator, will give evidence of financial support for these rallies."

At the same time, the prosecutor general said that Georgian citizens had brought money to finance the protests in Ukraine on private planes: "We also know that these funds were brought to Ukraine on private planes by Georgian citizens who had previously visited Western Europe."

"At the moment, I can only say one thing: Saakashvili really relies on a narrow circle of extremists of Georgian and Ukrainian origin. And he tried to legalize Georgians in Ukraine, being the head of Odesa State Administration," Lutsenko said.
