Canada fully supports Ukraine, approves its approach to NATO
High-level strategic advisor from Canada Jill Sinclair has discussed with Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak the reform of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry and the direction of further cooperation between Ukraine and Canada.
Canada fully supports Ukraine and especially approves Ukraine's approach to NATO [...] We are working hard and persistently to ensure that NATO's dialogue with Ukraine is constantly maintained, Sinclair said during a meeting with Poltorak on Wednesday.
The defense minister during the meeting said that all the reforms in Ukraine were implemented as scheduled, the official website of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported.
"Currently, we are developing the infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine … Financial reform will also allow us to raise the interest of people to military service," Poltorak said.
The minister also thanked the Canadian ambassador to Ukraine Roman Vaschuk for Canada's assistance in establishing a training center for military law enforcement service in Lviv.
