Russian-Belarusian 2017 drills prompt Western countries to be ready for any developments

U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker has said that the West 2017 military exercises prompt the Western countries to be ready for any development of events, including military aggression.

Speaking in an interview with the Ukrainian Priamy TV Channel, Volker said these military exercises force West to be ready for some kind of military aggression, the Western community should be ready for any development of events, should develop their own security system and work on it together.

As reported, the West 2017 Russian-Belarusian strategic exercise will take place from September 14 to September 20 and is expected to involve around 13,000 people.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the Alliance will watch closely the Russian-Belarusian drills.
