PM expects Ukraine to have ideal roads by 2022

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman predicts that next year the pace of road construction and repair in Ukraine would increase.

"In 2016, we started modernization of Ukrainian roads, reconstruction and overhauls. This year we have speeded up the pace and increased the volumes. I want to say that the quality of road repair has improved. Next year the volumes will be bigger," he said at a government meeting in Kyiv on Thursday.

He said that in the coming years Ukrainians would feel changes in the quality of roads in the country.

"I think that in three or five years we will make ideal order on the roads. It is clear that we would not reach each corner, but I think that Ukrainians would feel that the situation changes on the major part of the roads," the prime minister said.
