Ukraine reports 22 enemy attacks in past day

The enemy have carried out 22 attacks on Ukrainian positions, most of which were brief, in the past 24 hours, the press center for the headquarters of the Anti-Terrorist operation (ATO) in Donbas said on Facebook on Wednesday.

"At the end of the past day, the situation in the ATO zone remained stably controlled, without the tendency to exacerbate. The Russian occupation forces continued to violate peace agreements, firing on ATO forces mainly from small arms and grenade launchers. In total illegal armed formations violated the cease fire regime 22 times in past 24 hours. In turn, the Ukrainian military fired back, promptly assessing the degree of threat," the ATO headquarters wrote on Facebook.

From 18:00 to midnight, the largest number of attacks was recorded in the Luhansk sector. The enemy used small arms and grenade launchers against the Ukrainian fortified positions near the villages of Stanytsia Luhanska, Troyitske and Krymske. The village of Novozvanivka came under fire from infantry fighting vehicles and 82mm mortars twice, and an enemy 120mm mortar started working near the village of Novotoshkivske.

In the Donetsk sector, the militants carried out two attacks from small arms on Butovka coal mine at the end of the day. The villages of Luhanske and Kamyanka were attacked with grenade launchers, the village of Pisky was attacked from 82mm mortars.

In the Mariupol sector, the invaders used tank shells against the Ukrainian fortified positions near the town of Krasnohorivka.
