Rada again fails to appoint its member at NABU audit commission

The Verkhovna Rada has failed to appoint its representative to the Audit Commission of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

Oleksandra Yanovska, a professor from Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University, scored most of the preliminary rating votes with 207 MPs who supported her candidacy, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported on Thursday, July 13.

Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy then tabled her candidacy for approval. Some 216 Rada members voted for her appointment as NABU auditor representing Ukraine's parliament, with the required minimum being 226 votes.
