Poltorak satisfied with level of British instructors

Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak has met with his British counterpart Michael Fallon in London.

During the meeting the parties discussed the current security situation in Ukraine and the world. In addition, Poltorak informed Fallon about the state of reforming of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the role of British advisors who work in Ukraine and provide consulting assistance in the process of reform, the press service of Ukraine's Defense Ministry said.

"It would be extremely difficult without the help of advisers. I want to thank for their work and dedication. And I am pleased with the level of training provided by instructors from the UK when they teach our military. This process must continue," the minister said.

During the meeting, issues of providing assistance by the British side in the creation of the sergeant and senior school colleges in Ukraine were discussed.

"Reforming the training system for this category of servicemen is necessary and very relevant," the Ukrainian defense minister said.

Upon completion of the meeting, Poltorak invited his British counterpart to visit Kyiv during the country's celebration of Ukraine's Independence Day.
