French President Emmanuelle Macron holds a position that will not allow the Russian side to play for time, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said on 112.Ukraine TV channel on Monday.

"First we are talking about a telephone conversation in the Normandy format, which I hope will take place in the near future, and the position of President Macron supposing that he will not let the Russian side to drag out, but will try in close coordination with us and German friends to get results, both to work on the road map, and to achieve concrete results in two key areas: security and the release of hostages," Klimkin said.

The minister also noted that he likes the style of the French president: "This is a combination of attention to details, understanding of details and at the same time the level of strategic analysis. It is the understanding of where we are, where we should come, the need to make very clear steps."
