The foreign ministers of Lithuania and Sweden, Linas Linkevicius and Margot Wallstrom, will visit Ukraine on June 13-15, the ZN.UA edition has reported.

The edition published an article by Linkevicius and Wallstrom dedicated to the liberalization of the visa regime of Ukraine and the EU countries "More Europe in Ukraine and More Ukraine in Europe."

The authors welcome the opportunity of Ukrainian citizens to travel in 30 countries of the Schengen area without visas.

"This is a powerful reminder of one of the most pressing slogans of the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity, namely 'Ukraine is Europe'," the article reads.

The officials noted that visa-free travel is the result of many years of work on complex reforms in Ukraine: from improving the protection of documents to the introduction of comprehensive anti-discrimination legislation.

"At the time when migration, border control and security-related problems are on the EU agenda, this decision is a strong signal of solidarity between the European Union and Ukraine and our faith in the strength of your efforts in implementing reforms," the article says.

Linkevicius and Wallstrom said Ukrainians still have much to do.

"Without a doubt, fight against corruption will be a decisive factor for the future of Ukraine," the authors said, noting the need for the establishment of independent anti-corruption courts.
