Over the past day the militants shelled Ukrainian positions 116 times in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) zone, which resulted in 15 wounded soldiers, seven injured, and one killed soldier, the press center of the ATO headquarters said on its Facebook page on Friday morning.

"A total of 116 attacks have been recorded. Some 15 Ukrainian military have been wounded, seven injured, one killed," a statement says.

In the Mariupol sector the enemy employed BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launchers in the direction of our positions in Vodiane. A tank was applied in Hnutove area, mortars fired on Krasnohorivka, Novotroyitske, Vodiane and Hnutove. Grenade launchers and small arms were used to attack Shyrokyne, Starohnativka, Lebedynske, Maryinka and Talakivka. Shyrokyne, Lebedynske and Maryinka were shot by a sniper, while Novohryhorivka and Hnutove - by infantry combat vehicles.

In the Luhansk sector, Novozvanivka and Lysychansk were under fire from 152-mm artillery. The militants used mortars of various calibres to shell Novo-Oleksandrivka, Novotoshkivske, Novozvanivka, Katerynivka, Krymske and Malynove.

In the Donetsk sector a tank and mortars of 120-mm and 82 mm calibers shelled at Avdiyivka, Novoluhanske, Zaitseve, Pisky and Butovka mine. Ukrainian positions in Opytne, Pisky and Kamyanka areas were fired on from rocket-propelled grenades. Infantry combat vehicle was used to attack Luhanske, firearms were applied to attack Mayorske and Nevelske. Kamyanka, Novhorodske and Novotroyitske were under the sniper's fire. Anti-aircraft guns fired on Troyitske and Avdiyivka.
