Moscow's recognition of ORDLO IDs contradicts Minsk agreements

The recognition of the documents of separate regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions (ORDLO) by the Russian Federation is a step contrary to the Minsk agreements, Polish Ambassador to Ukraine Yan Pieklo has said.

Poland from the very beginning has upheld this position: Russia is the aggressor and it is necessary to continue the sanctions, if it does not fulfill the Minsk agreements, Pieklo said. Concerning ORDLO ID papers, Polish position is very critical - it is a step not in the direction of the Minsk agreements, but in the opposite direction, he told journalists in Kyiv on Thursday.

As reported, on February 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the decree 'on recognition in the Russian Federation the documents and car registration plates issued to Ukrainian citizens and stateless persons permanently residing in the territories of the separate areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
