Former energy and coal minister still wanted by Interpol

Former Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky, according to Interpol, is likely located in Israel, according to Head of the Interpol National Central Bureau in Ukraine Vasyl Nevolia.

"Stavytsky, according to our data, may be located in Israel. He is wanted, he is actively searched for," Nevolia said during the hotline conversation at the 'Komsomolska Pravda in Ukraine' in Kyiv on Thursday.

He noted the effectiveness of the work with the Israeli side in investigation matters.

"Taking into consideration that Israel extradite its citizens, the procedure is not very complicated [...] there are no problems with Israel," the head of the Ukrainian Interpol Bureau said.

As reported, on March 24, 2014 the Prosecutor General of Ukraine issued a wanted notice on Stavytsky. He is suspected of embezzlement on a large scale.

It was reported on Interpol website on August 4 that Stavytsky is wanted by Interpol. According to the information, Ukraine is making a search for former minister on charges of misappropriation, embezzlement or misappropriation by malpractice in especially large sizes.

Earlier Stavytsky was in Israel, he changed his name to Rosenberg.
