Thirty-seven victims of Boeing crash near Bishkek identified

Thirty-seven out of 38 victims of the crash of a Turkish Boeing cargo plane in a dacha compound near Bishkek Manas Airport have been identified, the Kyrgyz Health Ministry told Interfax on Tuesday.

Three crewmembers of the crashed plane are among the identified victims, the ministry said.

"Thirty-two whole bodies and another five bodies assembled from the fragments found at the site were brought to the republican forensic medical bureau on January 16," a ministry representative said.

Thirty-four bodies have been claimed from the forensic medical bureau, which is still storing the bodies of three Boeing crewmembers. The body, which presumably belongs to the fourth crewmember, has yet to be taken for examination, as the search operation at the crash scene goes on.

The Turkish Boeing 747-400 crashed on the Dacha-Suu compound in the vicinity of Manas Airport. It fell on residential areas, mostly killing local residents with wreckage.
