Ukrainian Canadian Congress, NGOs hand over 11 tons of humanitarian aid for Donbas

On January 4, 2017, the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, together with the Canadian company Caravan Logіstics and Canadian non-governmental organizations "Ukraine Appeal", GlobalFire, Global Medic and the Ukrainian Canadian League collected and sent 11 tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

The consignment consists of medical equipment and fire-fighting equipment, and will be transferred to hospitals and fire stations in the east of Ukraine, in particular in Mariupol. This is the fourth shipment of humanitarian aid to Ukraine indicated patrons, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's press service reported.

"The equipment collected by the Ukrainian community in Canada will allow improving the quality of provision of the first aid to victims of the Russian aggression against our country, and will allow enhancing the efficiency of fire fighting," the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's press service reported.

The Foreign Ministry said Ukraine appreciates the efforts of the Government of Canada and the Ukrainian Diaspora in this country in the provision of humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
