Solving of the issue of the ratification of the Association Agreement with Ukraine will be found in the coming days, EU ambassador to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli has said.

Mingarelli said at a briefing in Kharkiv on Tuesday that at that very moment the government of the Netherlands was talking with the leaders of the European Union to find a solution, as they call it, the Dutch difficulties. He said they are confident that this week, in the next two or three days, the solution would be found.

EU Ambassador to Ukraine expressed confidence that the solution that will be found, won't allow to dilute the provisions of the Association Agreement. Mingarelli said that on the one hand they are confident that this decision will fully retain the current content of the Association Agreement, and on the other hand, will take into account all the issues of which the citizens of the Netherlands have expressed their concern," Ambassador Mingarelli said.

He rode off on a side issue on the clarifying question 'whether it is an acceptable condition the Dutch government puts forward on the adoption of the statement at the EU Thursday's summit that the Association Agreement with Ukraine does not contain any additional security or financial liabilities on the part of Brussels with regard to Kyiv.'

Mingarelli said that 27 EU member states that have ratified the Association Agreement will not agree to dilute its current position.
