Klimkin to present Ukrainian version of roadmap at Normandy Four ministerial meeting

Ukraine's foreign minister Pavlo Klimkin will present the Ukrainian version of a plan to settle the situation in eastern Ukraine at a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Normandy Four nations due to be held in Minsk on November 29.

"At the meeting of the Normandy Four foreign ministers I am going to put primary emphases on the security and humanitarian issue, in particular the release of our political hostages, providing access to them for international organizations, the Red Cross. And I will also insist, of course, on our vision of the roadmap which will be able to make real progress in the situation," Klimkin told a press conference held jointly with Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom in Kyiv on Monday.

It is unlikely to be possible to reach a joint vision with Moscow regarding the roadmap for implementation of the Minsk agreements, he said.

"Whereas with France and Germany we do have a shared vision of the roadmap on key points, with Russia we are very far from even a common joint vision. I am fairly skeptical about us reaching agreement tomorrow on the main issues of this roadmap," he said.

Security and humanitarian issues are Ukraine's priorities, the foreign ministers said.
