During a telephone conversation, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and United States Vice President Joseph Biden have discussed maintaining the policy of international sanctions against Russia until complete restoration of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Ukrainian presidential press service said on Wednesday that Poroshenko and Biden noted the importance of coordinating efforts to ensure Russia's fulfillment of its obligations under the Minsk Agreements.

The sides also discussed relevant issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the U.S., as well as issues of regional security in light of the presidential election.

"The sides also put a particular focus on continuing support to the reforms in Ukraine, which began to produce tangible results," the press service said.
