Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev in a telephone conversation have discussed the ways to overcome the problems that have arisen with the supply of Ukrainian products to Kyrgyzstan due to Russia's restricting transit of Ukrainian goods, as well as possible alternative transport routes.

In addition, the sides discussed the topical issues of bilateral relations, noting the need to intensify political dialogue at all levels.

"The two sides noted the need to intensify political dialogue at all levels, as well as strengthening the trade and economic component of bilateral relations. In particular, they noted the importance of holding another meeting of the joint intergovernmental Ukrainian-Kyrgyz commission on cooperation," the press service of the Ukrainian president said.

Considerable attention was also paid to interaction between Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan in the framework of international organizations, primarily the United Nations.
