Rada urges to introduce visa-free regime with EU before anniversary of Revolution of Dignity

The Verkhovna Rada at the current plenary week can vote for the draft decision on the handling of a call to make a decision on the introduction of a visa-free regime with the EU before the anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity (21 November).

"During the meeting with European MPs it was agreed on the Verkhovna Rada’s appeal about the adoption of a visa-free regime before the anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity. There is already a working group which is to prepare the decision. I think if not on Tuesday, then on Thursday we can jointly announce this decision and make a public appeal," Parubiy said at a meeting of the conciliation parliamentary board on Monday.

He said that Ukraine has fulfilled all conditions for a visa-free solution.

As reported, on October 29, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy and chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs Elmar Brok called on the European Parliament to vote for the introduction of the visa-free regime with Ukraine by the Euromaidan anniversary dated November 21, 2016. Parubiy handed to Brok a statement signed by the chairman and members of most of the factions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in which they call to complete the process of liberalization of the visa regime by the date of the anniversary of Euromaidan events.
