Ukrainian Rada spends half of day sacking judges for breaking oath

The Ukrainian parliament on Thursday finished considering applications to dismiss judges for oath violations: deputies approved orders to dismiss 29 out of 33 judges in four and a half hours.

The extraordinary Verkhovna Rada session, which began at 10 a.m. on Thursday, considered the dismissal of a whole host of Ukrainian judges for violation of their oaths at the request of the Supreme Justice Council, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent said.
