Poroshenko will open plenary sessions of 13th YES annual meeting

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on Friday, September 16, will open the plenary sessions of the 13th annual meeting of the Yalta European Strategy "The World, Europe and Ukraine: Storms of Changes," his introductory speech will be followed by the debate of speakers and participants in the forum with the Ukrainian head of state.

According to the YES press service, the 13th YES annual meeting will be held in Kyiv on September 15-17. Plenary sessions will be held in the Mystetsky Arsenal national cultural museum complex. The forum will be attended by more than 350 leading politicians, diplomats, businessmen, public figures and experts from 20 countries.

The first day of the plenary sessions will be devoted to the key geopolitical, economic and social challenges Europe, Ukraine and the world face. The discussion will include the current situation in the EU, prospects and challenges Turkey is facing, the consequences of the U.S. presidential elections in 2016 for the world politics and international relations, as well as the global challenge of social inequality, the problem of terrorism and radicalism. The international support of Ukraine amidst Russian aggression, the economic crisis and reforms will be also discussed during the first day of the forum.
