Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko plans to meet with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault in Kyiv on Wednesday in order to coordinate measures of pressure on Russia in order to ensure the observance of the security points of the Minsk agreements.

The meeting, set for September 14, is expected to address, among other topics, the prospects for resuming the fully-fledged work of the Normandy format (Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France) as a follow-up to agreements reached as a result of the trilateral telephone conversation held on September 9, the Ukrainian leader's website said.

The Ukrainian president will also hear the report of the foreign affairs minister of Germany as the OSCE chairman-in-office on the ways to strengthen the role of this organization in the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

Special attention will be paid to the progress in the liberation of Ukrainian hostages in Donbas and Ukrainian political prisoners illegally held in Russia.
