Foreign ministers of Germany, France, Great Britain and Denmark to visit Kyiv – Klimkin

Not only the foreign ministers of Germany and France, but also their colleagues from the UK and Denmark will visit Kyiv, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin has said.

"On September 14 we host not only Steinmeier [German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier], Ayrault [French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault], Boris Johnson [UK Foreign Minister Boris Johnson] and their Danish counterpart [Kristian Jensen], it means, the number of visiting ministers will be more," Klimkin said at the Inter TV channel on Sunday night.

He stressed that Frank-Walter Steinmeier comes to Ukraine not only as the Foreign Minister of Germany, but also as the acting OSCE chairman.

Klimkin reminded that he discussed with Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin what could be done to return to the talks in the "Normandy format", how to make Russia fulfill the Minsk agreements and "how to practically help the OSCE to set the effective monitoring of what is happening in Donbas and the site of the Ukrainian-Russian border, which is not under our control."

As previously reported, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany and France were expected to visit Kyiv on September 14-15.
