Poroshenko orders to consider sanctions against those violating journalist rights in Crimea

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has issued instructions to consider the application of personal sanctions against those who are violating the freedom of the press and freedom of expression in Crimea.

"In connection with the systemic and deliberate violations by the Russian occupying authorities of human rights for the freedom of expression and opinion in the occupied Crimea I ordered to address the issue of the use of personal sanctions against those involved in unlawful actions against media and journalists, and the violations of the law on the freedom of speech in the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and in Sevastopol," the head of state wrote on his Facebook page on Monday.
