Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that agreements between Ukraine's central authorities and regional councils on any separation of powers as part of decentralization are illegal and, therefore, do not exist.

"I have received no such requests. There will be no requests and no agreements between regional councils and the president: they are not constitutional," Poroshenko told a press conference on Friday, when asked by Interfax-Ukraine.
