Ex-minister, wife intend to buy Bank Zemelny Capital

Former Minister of Coal Industry Viktor Topolov and his wife Olena Topolova have announced intention to acquire 10.622 billion shares of Bank Zemelny Capital (Dnipropetrovsk), which accounts for 99.9995% of the bank charter capital.

According to the official bulletin of the National Commission on Securities and the Stock Market dated May 26, on the day of notification the Topolov couple did not own shares in the bank.

Bank Zemelny Capital was established in 1994. The largest shareholders of the financial institution on March 31, 2016 were Oleksandr Mazurenko (47.4275%), Tamara Tsykova (22.4062%), Viktor Ukhan (8.92%), Svitlana Lohosha (9.9733%), Yuriy Lublin (the United States, 8.4537%), and Lesia Shatalin (the U.S., 7.8193%).

The bank ranked 37th among 109 banks operating in the country as of the beginning of April 2016 by total assets (UAH 214.339 million), according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
