The European Union doesn't consider granting the visa-free regime to Ukraine in a package with other countries, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said.

"The ministers have assured me that as Georgia has fulfilled [the action plan on visa liberalization] a bit earlier, it can be put on the agenda a few weeks earlier. But there is absolutely no question of any serious delays, or, let's be honest, about a political packaging of Ukraine with other countries. We will be considered on the basis of what we have done so far. And all the ministers stressed that they have no complaints about the fulfillment of their commitments by Georgia and Ukraine," Klimkin told journalists in Brussels during a meeting of foreign ministers of the Eastern Partnership countries, which was broadcast by 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

According to him, the date of consideration of the matter of granting the visa-free regime to Ukraine will be discussed soon.

The minister said that the issue of granting Ukraine visa-free regime is not a matter of "the next few days or months," as stated by representatives of France and Germany, but a mater of whether Ukraine complies with all its obligations. Klimkin also said that he had already held a series of meetings and would hold further talks with the foreign and interior ministers of the EU member states.

"We have a conclusion of the European Commission. The European Commission made a formal legal proposal, and now every country is ticking the boxes on the list of what we have done... So now we are not talking about the fact that any country in any way may delay the process, the process is moving on," the Ukrainian foreign minister said.
