The parties involved in consultations on the future composition of a new Ukrainian government have reached agreement on appointing presidential representative at the Verkhovna Rada Stepan Kubiv first deputy prime minister and economic development and trade minister, Pavlo Rozenko deputy prime minister for social affairs, Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze deputy prime minister for European integration, Volodymyr Kistion deputy prime minister for military operation, and Dmytro Shymkiv deputy prime minister for reforms, a source from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc parliamentary faction told Interfax-Ukraine.

Current Deputy Prime Minister and Culture Minister Viacheslav Kyrylenko will remain deputy prime minister for humanitarian affairs, and Yevhen Nischuk will be appointed culture minister.

Kubiv's deputies will be current deputies to the economic development minister Yulia Kovaliv and Maksym Nefyodov.

Oleksandr Danyliuk, currently deputy presidential chief of staff and the presidential representative at the government, will be appointed finance minister, and Deputy Finance Minister Oksana Markarova would serve as Danyliuk's deputy.

Andriy Reva, currently a deputy to the Vinnytsia city administration head, will serve as social policy minister, Ostap Semerak, a parliamentarian from the People's Front faction, as environment protection and natural resources minister, Lilia Hrynevych, a People's Front parliamentarian and head of the parliamentary science and education committee, as education and science minister, and Taras Kutovy, a Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction member, as agrarian policy and food minister.

Deputy Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelian will be appointed infrastructure minister, and current Deputy Prime Minister and Regional Development, Construction, and Utilities Minister Hennadiy Zubko will retain only his ministerial position.

Oleksandr Sayenko, currently the head of the secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada's chairman, will serve as a minister without portfolio.

"The clearance of candidates for the energy and coal industry minister and the healthcare minister is continuing, but [Verkhovna Rada Chairman and prime ministerial candidate Volodymyr] Groysman has demanded that the people to be appointed there be spotless," the source said.

The Petro Poroshenko Bloc source interviewed by Interfax said also that Oleksandr Usenko, the director of the Shalimov National Surgery and Transplantology Institute, is viewed as a candidate for healthcare minister. It is quite possible, however, that Usenko might decline the vacancy proposed to him, he said.

Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko, Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, Information Policy Minister Yuriy Stets, and Youth and Sports Minister Igor Zhdanov will retain their positions.
