A group from Kyiv and Poltava regions and western Ukraine has gone to Odesa to 'model' the abduction of Yuriy Hrabovsky, a lawyer of indicted Russian citizen Alexander Alexandrov, Ukrainian Deputy Prosecutor General - Main Military Prosecutor Anatoliy Matios has said.

"We hope he is alive," the prosecutor said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Monday.

The suspected organizer of the disappearance of Yuriy Hrabovsky, who has been detained in Odesa, simulated his departure from Ukraine, Matios said.

"That man traveled to Egypt to upload photos and make posts by means of a cell phone on behalf of Hrabovsky and on the orders from third persons," Matios said.
