Ongoing calm needed for work of Donetsk water filtering station – Hug

Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Deputy Chief Monitor to Ukraine Alexander Hug has said that the situation in the area of the Yasynuvata checkpoint and the Donetsk water filtering station has stabilized.

Re-launching the filtering station requires more than simply pressing the 'Start' button, he said. Rather, it is a process which takes almost six hours, he added.

Consequently, it is necessary to ensure that this quiet situation and tranquility continue in order to enable the station's employees to continue their work, Hug said.

Earlier on Thursday, Hug met with employees of the Donetsk water filtering station and visited a checkpoint in the Yasynuvata area.
