Some 140 people still held prisoner by militants – Ukrainian president
Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko has said that militants are illegally holding approximately 140 Ukrainian military personnel and civilians.
"It is terrible that despite their clear commitment Russia-backed militants continue to hold about 140 Ukrainian military and civilian persons, including journalists and volunteers, in basements in inhumane conditions," the president told the press before his talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on Monday.
