Ukrainian government accepts resignation of First Deputy Infrastructure Minister Shulmeister

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to dismiss Volodymyr Shulmeister from the post of the first deputy minister of infrastructure at his own request.

The government issued relevant resolution No.1423-r dated December 30, 2015.

Infrastructure Minister Andriy Pyvovarsky announced his decision to leave the office and go back into the business on December 11, 2015. His first deputy Shulmeister also said that had sent in a letter of resignation. Meanwhile, Deputy Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan said that he would sign in as soon as the new minister was appointed.

Prior to his appointment as the first deputy minister of infrastructure, Shulmeister managed a number of projects in the Netherlands, worked in the Fortis Bank (UK), served as the financial director and later as the director general of the Foxtrot group of companies.

In the Infrastructure Ministry Shulmeister was in charge of ensuring the implementation of state policy, the organization of work and control in aviation, road, urban transport and road infrastructure; of the implementation of the state policy in the field of transport safety; of ensuring the implementation of property management functions in the field of transport and road infrastructure.
