Kyiv reports breaches of truce in Luhansk sector by militants

Ukrainian army positions have been attacked by militants in Donetsk and Luhansk sectors over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian Presidential Administration spokesman for the anti-terrorist operation Oleksandr Motuzianyk said.

"None of the Ukrainian servicemen have been killed or have suffered injuries," he said.

"The number of shooting incidents has nearly halved in the Donetsk sector. The area near the Donetsk airport was not calm, which included [the areas of] Pisky and Avdiyivka," Motuzianyk said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.

The militants delivered "three random strikes on our positions near Novhorodske and used small arms, large-caliber machineguns, and anti-tank grenade launchers in the Svitlodarsk bulge, near Luhanske and Zaitseve," he said.

The enemy breached the truce in the Luhansk sector for the first time in days, Motuzianyk said. "Two provocations of the hostiles were observed near Triokhizbenka. They were using small arms, grenade launchers and large-caliber machineguns," the spokesman said.

Not a single ceasefire violation was recorded in the Mariupol area, he added.
