Dutch govt to take referendum on Ukraine-EU association agreement into account, won't affect Ukraine's EU integration – PM

The government of the Netherlands will take the results of a consultative referendum on the association agreement between Ukraine and the European Union in 2016 into account but its outcome will not stop the European integration of Ukraine, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has said.

Speaking in the Hague on Thursday after talks with Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko, Rutte said that this would not stop the European integration of Ukraine. However, Dutch law requires the government to take the results of the referendum into account, he added.
