Russian Investigative Committee Chairman Alexander Bastrykin and Egyptian Prosecutor General Nabil Sadeq have discussed cooperation in investigating the October 31 crash of the Russian Airbus A321 passenger jet in the Sinai Peninsula, Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin has said.

"Negotiations with Sadeq addressed issues concerning interdepartmental cooperation in investigating the criminal case opened into the crash of the Airbus A321 plane with Russian citizens on board on the territory of Egypt," Markin said.

Bastrykin also met with Egypt's Civil Aviation Minister Hossam Kamal, "who informed the Russian side about the interim results of this air accident investigation being conducted by the Civil Aviation Ministry of Egypt.'
