Interpol not putting ex-officials related to Maidan crimes on wanted list – PGO

Interpol is not putting persons associated with crimes committed during the Revolution of Dignity on the international wanted list, referring to politically motivated harassment, the head of the special investigations unit of the main department of the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO), Serhiy Horbatiuk, has said.

"Interpol is not putting persons related to the Maidan crime on the international wanted list. It refuses, seeing there ostensibly political persecution, which, in our opinion, is unfounded, since we are talking about murders ... persons involved in serious crimes, and we do not see politics [at play] here," he said at a press conference at the PGO.

Horbatiuk noted that "Interpol [did not reply to our] requests to detail and specify what exactly this [political persecution] policy is."
