Ukrainian army positions in Donbas again under fire – Kyiv

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions in Donbas came under fire 33 times on Monday evening and overnight into Tuesday, the press center of the Ukrainian army operation reported on its Facebook account.

The strikes were registered from 6:00 p.m. on Monday to 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

In the Donetsk region, grenade launchers and large-caliber submachine guns were fired on 11 occasions against the Ukrainian army's positions in the village of Pisky and seven times in the village Opytne, the press center said. Militants also opened fire three times on Avdiyivka and three times on Krasnohorivka. In addition to that, small arms were fired in the direction of Nevelske and Kamyanka, and BMP-2 fighting infantry vehicles and missile systems were used against Verkhniotoretske, the press center said.

Near the town of Artemivsk, 120-mm mortars were fired twice on Popasna and Bohuslavske.

In addition to that, grenade launchers were used on four occasions against the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions near Novhorodske and Maryinka, while grenade launchers, small arms and 82-mm mortars were fired against the village of Shyrokyne near Mariupol.

The shelling stopped in the Ukrainian army operation area in Donbas after 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, the press center said.
