Foreign specialists, among them representatives of the NATO Liaison Office, are taking part in the elaboration of a Ukrainian Armed Forces development concept for the period until 2020, Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff Chief Viktor Muzhenko has said.

"We will be actively using our own and best foreign practices in the elaboration of the Ukrainian Armed Forces development concept for the period until 2020," Muzhenko wrote on Facebook on Monday.

He said the issue was discussed at a conference attended by experts and representatives of research centers and public organizations.

"For the first time in Ukraine's history this important document is being elaborated with the participation of foreign specialists, including the NATO Liaison Office, because the introduction of appropriate standards is listed amongst the main areas of national army development," the General Staff chief said.
