Ukrainian army suffers no casualties in Donbas over past day, blames militants for attacks on its positions

The Ukrainian army suffered no casualties in the anti-terrorist zone in Donbas over the past day, Ukrainian presidential administration spokesman for the ATO operation Oleksandr Motuzianyk said at a press briefing on Tuesday.

The militants conducted several attacks by use of small arms and grenade launchers near Avdiyivka and Pisky on Monday evening, he said. "Not a single Ukrainian serviceman died or was injured in the hostilities in the past 24 hours," he said.

He added that a woman was killed in the explosion of a pull-action mine near the village of Berezove in Donetsk region. "The woman and her husband were driving to Volnovakha along the Donetsk-Mariupol road. They stopped the car, and the woman got out and went into the field although there was a warning sign. An explosion occurred," the spokesman said.

In all, 23 civilians, including four children, have been killed and 67 wounded in the explosions of mines, including pull-action devices, and other types of bombs in the Donetsk region since the beginning of this year, he said.
