Head of Interior Ministry dept on recovering Ukrainian assets Tyschenko resigns

Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov has accepted the letter of resignation of head of the Interior Ministry's department on the return of stolen funds Olena Tyschenko.

"Yesterday, the head of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's department on ensuring the recovery stolen funds Olena Tyschenko wrote her letter of resignation. Under the decree, as of September 16, 2015 she was dismissed from the interior agencies under her own request," the ministry's press service reported on Thursday.

As reported, on September 16 Tyschenko announced that she had written a letter of resignation.

Meanwhile, Petro Poroshenko Bloc MP Serhiy Leschenko said that a criminal case had been opened under Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (forgery, inclusion by an official of deliberately false evidence in official documents, other forgery of the documents, as well as compiling and issuing deliberately false documents.)

"In reality, yesterday a criminal case was opened against Tyschenko under Article 366 of the Criminal Code. Her so-called voluntary resignation is an attempt to smother history because her leaving her post was only a matter of time," Leschenko wrote on Facebook.
