"The Ukrainian head of state invited Polish President Andrzej Duda to visit Ukraine," the Ukrainian presidential press service reported following Poroshenko's meeting with Szczerski in Kyiv on Friday.

He also thanked Poland for its active position and solidarity in defending Ukraine's interests in the international arena, particularly in the way of European integration.

"The president mentioned the potential and the importance of the development of relations between the countries. In particular, Ukraine attaches particular significance to the strengthening of military-technological cooperation, including within the framework of the Ukrainian-Polish-Lithuanian brigade," it said.
