Rada coalition can work without Radical Party – Poroshenko Bloc

The withdrawal from the parliament coalition of the Radical Party faction will not affect the future work of the majority, says Ihor Kononenko, first deputy leader of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction.

"I have not seen the application (for withdrawal from the coalition). If you are talking about it, it probably exists. The coalition will work further," he told reporters on Tuesday.

The coalition included 302 deputies, and with the Radical Party's withdrawal, there are now 281 votes left in the majority, Kononenko said. This number of deputies is sufficient "for decision-making by the Verkhovna Rada," he said.

Commenting on the absence in the majority of a constitutional majority (300 votes), the parliamentarian said that apart from coalition deputies there are also other factions and groups, as well as independents.
