Head of the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) Vasyl Hrytsak has said that 10 structures, including the Svoboda all-Ukraine union, the UKROP party and the Radical Party filed bids for actions at the parliament building on Monday.

Hrytsak made a statement on the issue at a meeting between the president and law enforcers, the presidential press service said.

It was reported that on Monday, August 31, Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada had preliminarily approved a presidential bill introducing amendments to the country's fundamental law regarding power decentralization. Some 265 lawmakers from the 368 registered at the parliament meeting voted for a draft resolution on the preliminary approval of the bill (approval in the first reading).

After this clashes broke out between protesters against voting for this bill and law enforcers near the parliament building. As a result of the clashes and a grenade hurled at the law enforcers a Ukrainian National Guard serviceman was killed. More than 140 law enforcers and civilians, including two journalists, were wounded.
