A ministerial meeting of the "Normandy Four" may take place before mid-September and then the leaders of these countries can talk on the phone, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said.

"It has been agreed that the next meeting between the foreign ministers in this format will take place sometime before mid-September," he told reporters.

Ushakov said the time and venue of the meeting are now pending approval.

"Then we expect the leaders of the four countries to have phone contact and then it will become clear what they will decide, where to meet in person and when," Ushakov said.
