Contact Group videoconference to highlight fulfillment of ceasefire agreements on Sept 1

The Trilateral Contact Group, the Joint Coordination and Control Center and representatives of the self-proclaimed Donbas republics will have a videoconference on September 1, Darya Olifer, press secretary of Ukrainian representative to the Contact Group Leonid Kuchma, said.

"On Tuesday, September 1, there will be a videoconference of the Trilateral Contact Group involving representatives of some districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Also, there will be a link to officers of the Joint Coordination and Control Center," Olifer told Interfax.

During the video conference, OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) Special Representative Martin Sajdik and Kuchma will be in Kyiv; the Russian representative, Azamat Kulmukhametov, will be in Moscow, she said.

"The main objective of the members of the Trilateral Contact Group is to make sure, in real time, that the mutual commitments to a full ceasefire are being genuinely honored. I will recall that an agreement was reached in Minsk on August 26 to ensure a durable ceasefire in the first week of the new academic year," Olifer said.
