Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk underlined the importance of fortification of the border with Russia, in particular, in Kharkiv region.

"The border is the key task for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. We've started to built it and I want to tell once again everyone – the border with Russia will be built, as it is the protection of Ukraine and its territorial integrity. Kharkiv region in this aspect must be exemplary," Yatseniuk said during the governmental field meeting with heads of regional state administrations of east and south regions in Kharkiv on Friday.

During the meeting, Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak informed the members of the government on the status of construction of the fortifications on the line of the contact in Donbas. Moreover, UAH 400 million were secured for fortifications construction, but certain regions fell behind in this process, Yatseniuk noted.
