Ukrainian army positions shelled 99 times in Donbas

The Ukrainian army's positions in the country's eastern regions have come under fire 99 times in the past 24 hours, the press center of the anti-terrorist operation in Donbas reported on Monday morning.

According to the press center, 120mm mortars were fired twice against the localities of Pisky, Avdiyivka and Opytne from 6:00 p.m. until midnight, and a tank was fired on Pisky at 8:20 a.m.

Novohryhoryivka near the city of Mariupol came under 120mm mortar fire twice at around 7:00 p.m., and mortars were also fired against Starohnativka and Bohdanivka.

The press center also claims that 122mm artillery weapons were fired on three occasions against the residential area of Hranitne village from 9:30 p.m. until 10:45 p.m.

According to the press center's report, artillery weapons were used five times during the strikes, mortars 33 times, grenade launchers 81 times, and tanks five times.

"In response, forces of the anti-terrorist operation were using weapons that are not banned by the Minsk agreements," the press center said.

The ATO headquarters in Donbas reported late on Sunday that the Ukrainian army's positions in Donbas had been shelled 51 times from midnight until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
